The troika proposes new demands for Turkey's EU entry

On Thursday, three Europe United senators published their proposal of much debate question on Turkey's EU entry. Members of the "Youngster-Troika", consisting of Tomas Ruta, Nikolas Tilaveridis and Araceli Turmo, are known to be vigorously against Turkey's EU entry and time to time conflicting way of debating.

It seems now that they have levelled their ambitions in order to change the party's policy. Instead of demanding removal of Turkey's EU candidacy the troika has decided to focus on the denial of the Armenian Genocide and the country's refusal to recognise the government of the Republic of Cyprus.

The poll will close at midnight of Thursday 6 July and if the forum, consisting of the members of Europe United, supports the proposal, the senate will have a final say during the following week.
