Senate Chairperson George Masterton resigns

Party News. Senate Chairperson George Masterton has resigned.
"I have been thinking about this long and hard and basically I cannot continue as I am. I quite simply have too many responsibilities and they are dragging me down. Something has got to give and I am afraid it is my chairmanship of the senate, and my seat on the board.

Quite simply I want to spend more time with my family and work and for this part of my life to go back to being a hobby that I can fit in as and when I have time."

President of Europe United, Aki Paasovaara has accepted the resignation.
"It is with a deep sense of personal gratitude for your service at the board and senate, that I accept your resignation as a board member and senate chairperson, effective June 28, 2006. Your abilities, your intelligence, and your willingness to work long hours are well-known in Europe United and with such an extraordinary combination of talents and results, there is no question in my mind that future generations will remember you and your work.

Knowing you as I do, I know that your deep dedication for the party, and your strong belief in its future greatness will keep you among us.
For many, many contributions, I want to say a very warm and big "Thank you!''

What next?

New senate chairperson elections will be held soon.

Well done for all your hard work. I am sure you will still find some time to participate as a "humble" Senator!
