Europe United recognises independence of Montenegro

Europe United has recognised Montenegro's independence via a statement by the President Aki Paasovaara.

Europe United "recognises the independence of the Republic of Montenegro and welcomes it to the family of European sovereign states," said the statement announced on Thursday.

Europe United’s President expresses his wish to establish a Europe United state chapter in Montenegro as soon as possible. "We need to make sure that people of Montenegro will have a true pro-European political party to smoothen Montenegro's way towards EU membership."

Paasovaara reaffirmed also that Europe United members from Montenegro will now gain status independent of Serbia.
